I thought I’d apologise for being M.I.A. – it’s been a rollercoaster year. And only feels right I share what’s been happening.
1. I got married to the love of my life Vivian, after 7 years together. We finally tied the knot on the 31st of August, 2018. It was hands down the best day of my life. We spent our honeymoon in Osaka, Japan for a week, followed by Hawaii the second week. Both wonderful destinations and unique experiences. Very grateful to be safe too, as we were in Japan when Typhoon Jebi hit – which was recorded as the worst in 25 years.
2. At the beginning of the year, I started a new role as Digital Design Lead, heading up the Digital Design Departments of MercerBell and Saatchi & Saatchi, Australia. I took the role, primarily to excel and further my management and leadership experience – which I’m absolutely loving.
3. I dislocated my right ankle playing soccer and completely tore my ATFL ligament (grade 3 – the highest grade of damage) and partially (high grade 2) tore my calcaneofibular ligament (which is next to the ATFL). This has slowed me down a fair bit – and have certainly been making the most of it! However, I may be needing surgery in the near future.
All of this has made The Giant Thinkers Podcast challenging to produce, simply because it had been less of a priority. As you can understand, these life events are mini-projects themselves. Especially weddings; I now have enormous empathy for anyone who has planned theirs!
Now that the dust has settled, I hope to jump right back in with consistent, high quality podcast content for you. Thank you so much for your support and engagement thus far. It’s been 3.5 years since the inception of the podcast and we’ve hit 63 episodes to date. Here’s to many, many more.
I hope you’re doing great and smashing your goals. Contact me here on email anytime or Instagram DM (@TheGiantThinker) if I can be of any assistance to you.
Finally, I’m excited to share the wedding links below:
