This weekend was a special one. And I’d love to share why. There are three specific things I’m walking away with – triggered by my second Billabong Yoga Retreat.
1. ‘Most of us go through life living in the past or the future, and never truly experience life in the here and now.’ A big struggle of mine personally!
2. ‘The purpose is not to eliminate our thoughts but rather create more space between them.’ I found this very useful.
3. ‘The importance of showing up and detaching from any specific outcome.’ To show up simply to experience whatever arises. Not everything needs to be measured or quantified.
A big thank you to my partner for introducing me to Yoga a year ago via Billabong Yoga Retreat where we met our wonderful teacher Basia Nowacki and now this time Heather Sunshine. Super grateful for all the people I come across and the lessons I’m learning.
As I turn another year older, ‘acceptance’ and ‘letting go’ are becoming strong themes I’m drawn to exploring. Accepting and letting go internally of how I view myself and externally of how others view me.
If we’ve ever connected online or offline, in messages or in person. Thank you for your friendship and the stories we’ve shared. Namaste!
