I’m excited to announce my first workshop for 2017 in Sydney titled ‘Tools To Win The Job You Want’. I originally delivered this at the AIGA Conference in Las Vegas last year.
The 4-hour workshop will be held later this year and currently accepting expressions of interest.

On the 27th of August, 2015 I delivered a talk titled ‘The Birth Of A Designer’ at deFrost* in the studio of Frost* Collective, Surry Hills – NSW, Australia. This is the same talk I delivered during my USA speaking tour over November, December and January 2014/15 where I visited 22 cities during those 3 months.

Getting a scholarship is easier than you think. Half the job is applying in the first place. In 2003, I completed high school (HSC). Although I was aiming to study design at University, I applied for the Diploma of Graphic Design Scholarship at a private college; Martin College, Sydney. Let’s be honest, I didn’t think I’d even be considered. It’s crazy how we self sabotage ourselves without even knowing it. The assumption for not being good enough could have jeopordised my entrance into the design industry.

So you’re a student studying a design course at a private college, TAFE or University and are a little worried about how to get a job after you complete your Diploma or Degree. This is all too common and an area that you rightfully so should be concerned about. You’ll spend anywhere between 1 to 4 years of your time, money and energy to your design course with the intention that not only will those investments pay itself off, but that you will make a living from a rewarding, exciting and creatively fulfilling career.
